The AltRider ALTR-9-4700 Universal Exhaust Heat Shield protects soft luggage, saddlebags, and riding gear from excessive exhaust heat. Designed as a universal-fit accessory, it creates a heat barrier between the exhaust muffler and luggage to help prevent melting, scorching, and heat damage during adventure touring.
The heat shield is made from durable 3.2 mm (1/8 inch) aluminum and attaches to the muffler using a universal stainless steel clamp. High-temperature silicone strips isolate the shield from the exhaust surface, improving airflow and preventing scratches on the muffler finish.
